Assistant MIS Director (Education industry)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Chief Information Officer, the successful candidate will primarily:
Direct the Management Information Systems team in planning, developing, upgrading, and maintaining the University’s core systems, including Human Resources, Finance, Facilities, Customer Relationship Management, Access Control, and Information Enquiry/Broadcasting platforms.
Formulate, review, and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality application services.
Oversee both internal staff and external service providers/vendors in the execution of application system projects.
Offer expert guidance and support to end-users regarding system implementation and usage.
Provide administrative and professional assistance to committees and working groups.
Carry out any additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
A recognized degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
Strong expertise and practical experience with Oracle e-Business Suite development and infrastructure, along with proven involvement in ERP system deployment and online self-service applications; prior managerial experience in higher education institutions is preferred.
Extensive background in administering and configuring web, application, and database servers.
Exceptional leadership qualities, self-motivation, independence, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both English and Chinese.
