Associate Director in Systems Administration (Education Industry)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the appointee will primarily:
Lead a team of IT specialists in designing, managing, and operating the University’s IT infrastructure under a Zero-Trust security framework.
Ensure ongoing enhancement of servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and cloud platforms to deliver optimal availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
Promote and enforce industry best practices in IT governance, information security, risk management, and compliance with ISO 27001 standards.
Supervise the integration of systems, identity management, and access control solutions to maintain a secure, resilient, and modern infrastructure.
Support the Office in planning, developing, and executing strategic IT initiatives, policies, and projects aligned with the University’s growth.
Act as the University’s Information Security Officer and serve as secretary to the Information Security Committee.
Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies
Applicants should demonstrate:
A recognized degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Extensive knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure planning, administration, and operations, with preference for candidates who have held managerial roles in higher education institutions.
Strong background in information security management and enforcement based on ISO 27001, enterprise architecture, technology transformation, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Broad experience in networking and data management is highly desirable.
Professional certifications such as TOGAF, CISSP, CISA, or ITIL will be considered an advantage.
Proven leadership ability, independence, initiative, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both English and Chinese.
