CyberSecurity Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned Vulnerability Management Specialist to strengthen our cybersecurity division. The successful candidate will be tasked with detecting, evaluating, and resolving security weaknesses across the organization’s IT infrastructure and applications. This position demands a solid grasp of cybersecurity fundamentals, sharp analytical abilities, and the capability to convey complex technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular reviews of vulnerability assessments and penetration testing performed by central teams on networks, applications, and devices.
Interpret scan findings to recognize and rank vulnerabilities according to severity and potential impact.
Design and execute remediation strategies to eliminate or reduce identified risks.
Collaborate with IT and software development teams to ensure patches and mitigations are applied within organizational timelines.
Monitor emerging threats and newly disclosed vulnerabilities, evaluating their relevance and risk to the enterprise.
Deliver periodic reports to leadership on vulnerability posture, highlighting urgent issues, trends, and recommended next steps.
Administer and optimize vulnerability management platforms and workflows.
Support incident response activities when required.

Education & Professional Background
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management or a similar cybersecurity function.
Strong expertise with vulnerability scanning and DevSecOps tools (e.g., Qualys, Checkmarx, Snyk, NowSecure).
Solid knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, and web-based technologies.
Exceptional analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications
Familiarity with cloud ecosystems such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CISSP) are a plus.
Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Power AutomatAe, Excel Macros).
