Responsibilities
Gather and analyze business requirements to support enterprise-wide data transformation initiatives.
Translate business needs into clear data specifications, including KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements.
Validate data for accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems and processes.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI to monitor data quality and drive continuous improvement.
Maintain and enhance data dictionaries, business process documentation, and data flow diagrams to ensure transparency and alignment.
Apply domain expertise in Hong Kong Life and General Insurance to ensure compliance with industry-specific and local regulatory standards.
Actively participate in agile project execution, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring timely delivery of data-related tasks.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a data or business analyst in insurance or financial services, with exposure to policy, claims, customer, or risk data.
Proficient in SQL and Spark (Databricks/Spark SQL) for querying, profiling, and transforming data.
Skilled in translating business requirements into technical data specifications and user stories for engineering teams.
Familiarity with data governance tools and practices, especially Informatica for cataloguing, metadata management, and lineage tracking.
Understanding of insurance regulatory frameworks such as IFRS 17 and Solvency II and their impact on data usage and reporting.
Experience documenting data models, business glossaries, and supporting user acceptance testing for analytics and reporting solutions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams including stakeholders, engineers, and governance leads.
